Our club has been busy connecting with the community at Warrigal Square Shopping Centre, where we’ve already hosted several successful Membership Information Days and Lions Cakes sales — with more to come in the weeks ahead.

These sessions have given shoppers the chance to meet our members, learn about the work Lions Clubs International carries out locally and globally, and discover the many ways they can get involved. Many visitors stopped by simply to chat, ask questions and hear first-hand about the impact Lions are making across our focus areas, from supporting those in need to strengthening our community.

Our Lions Cakes have also been a wonderful conversation starter. The sales have helped raise valuable funds to support our service projects, while strengthening our visibility within the community. We’ve received fantastic feedback, with many locals returning specifically to pick up another cake — or to bring a friend along to learn more about Lions.

We’re looking forward to continuing these information days and cake sales at Warrigal Square. They are proving to be a warm, approachable way to share who we are and welcome potential new members into our Lions family.
